The Six Essentials:

A Six-Formula Herbal System for the Non-Herbalist Practitioner Addressing 75% of Everyday Clinical Presentations

Although Chinese herbal medicine contains hundreds of classical formulas, most clinical presentations arise from a relatively small number of physiological regulatory systems. Classical physicians recognised the principle of 少方治多病 (“few formulas treat many diseases”). In much the same way that acupuncturists rely on a small number of key points in everyday practice, The Six Essentials introduce six carefully selected herbal formulas derived from classical prescriptions and reformulated for modern clinical practice and Western constitutions. Designed specifically for non-herbalist practitioners, this lecture introduces these formulas so they can be applied confidently and safely in everyday clinical practice.
